M.Sc. in BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES (LM-6)

The Master's Degree in Biological Sciences provides in-depth knowledge and advanced skills in the most innovative methodologies in biomolecular-biotechnological fields and, through a wide choice of curricula, allows the student to characterize his/her training in the diagnostic, nutritional or environmental fields. Each student can tailor the course on his/her projects choosing one of the four curricula. Curricula offered: 1. Molecular Diagnostics and Biotechnology (ENGLISH **) This curriculum is focussed on the most advanced bio-medical applications of molecular diagnostics and genes/genomes manipulation. 2. Nutrition: Functional and Sustainable Food (ENGLISH **) In the near future, the need for sustainable and functional food will increase, and the students can learn the professional background to design, support the quality and certification of sustainable food able to improve health in the fed organism. 3. Biologia della Conservazione e Gestione Ambientale (ITALIAN) The course is held in Italian. Some lectures with a double title Italian/English due to their value are taught exclusively in English. The laboratory activities, the thesis and the final dissertation can be carried out at the student's choice either in Italian or in English. 4. Nutrizione per il Benessere e lo Sport (ITALIAN) This curriculum is taught in Italian and more specifically aimed at preparing for the profession of nutritionist, with a focus on sports nutrition. ** Considering the labour market of these first two curricula, highly spendable in an international context, and in order to support the mobility and competitiveness of our laureates, these curricula are held in English.
